Caring for your electrodes (sticky-pads)
Share
Your Tap. 2.0 electrodes are a reusable medical-grade consumable, meaning they'll naturally lose their adhesive over time with repeated use.
The good news? With a little care, you can help them last longer!
Keep them sticking for longer:
✓ Always return the pads to their plastic backing after use.
✓ Store them in a cool, dry place inside your carry bag or box.
✓ Apply to clean, dry skin free from moisturisers or oils.
✓ If the adhesive begins to lose it’s stick, gently rub a few drops of water onto the sticky side with clean fingers, allow to air dry for 5-10 minutes then return it to the backing. Ensure they are dry before using.
Here is some information on our electrodes + a demo of how to clean them:
It's time for a fresh set when...
• They no longer stick well to your skin.
• The TENS stimulation feels weaker or uneven due to adhesive.
• The edges begin lifting during treatment.
• They become damaged or worn.
But, why do they wear out?
Over time, your electrodes will naturally lose their stickiness through repeated contact with skin. Electrode life varies from person to person. Factors like skin oils, moisturisers, hair, sweat and storage all influence how long they'll last.

A note from our Founder: As someone who uses Tap. myself, I know replacement pads are an ongoing cost. We do our best to keep them affordable while choosing quality electrodes that provide reliable performance and last for as many treatment sessions as possible.
In good health,
