Replacement Pads

Our replacement pads are medical-grade, reusable, and designed to work safely and effectively with Tap 2.0 when cared for properly.

How long do pads last?

Replacement pads typically last aprox. 20 uses, depending on:

  • Skin type
  • Placement area
  • Frequency of use
  • How well they’re cared for

If a pad no longer sticks well, feels uncomfortable, or doesn’t deliver stimulation evenly, it’s time to replace it.

How to care for your pads

Proper care extends pad life and comfort:

  • Apply pads to clean, dry skin only (no oils, lotions, or creams)
  • After use, gently place pads back onto the clear plastic backing
  • Store flat, away from heat and direct sunlight
  • If pads collect lint, you can lightly wet clean fingers with water, rub gently on adhesive (sticky) side of pad, air dry 5-10 mins, and reapply to the backing (do not scrub or use soap). Ensure pad is completely dry before next use.

Safety & comfort notes

  • Pads are for external use on skin only
  • Do not use on broken, irritated, or infected skin
  • Stop use if you experience discomfort and contact our support team if unsure

Which pads should I choose?

  • Butterfly pad: great for lower back or front pelvic placement
  • Discreet pad: ideal for everyday wear under clothing
  • Standard round electrodes: best for targeted areas or customised placement
  • 25mm Vulvodynia electrodes: when directed by a pelvic health clinician for treatment of pain & sensitivity
  • XL Butterfly: great for back pain or larger targeted relief
  • Curvy Tummy Pad: designed to sit under the natural overhang of a curvy tummy for pelvic relief.

Many users keep spare pads on hand, especially if using Tap regularly or during flare-ups.

If you’re unsure which pads are right for you, or how often you should replace them, our NZ-based support team is always happy to help — just email hello@taphealth.nz 🤍

Amazing, works so well for relieving endometriosis and adenomyosis pain. The different settings are great and it’s a lot better than other tens machines I have used before. The only thing is my skin gets sensitive to the sticky pads after using for long amounts of time, but I am super sensitive!

Ruby

this helps a lot with my period pain and chronic pain, also customer service was really good (:

I LOVE TAP! I have been searching for something to help my endo symptoms while having to live a normal life, working a 9-5. Tap has helped immensely!

Great TENS machine, I have tried another brand in the past and have found their pads stickier so are able to be worn easier at work. I have an active job with lots of bending and lifting so these just aren’t quite strong enough for that.

The light on this TENS is quite bright so can be seen under some clothes but other than that quite discreet.

I adore this machine and have sold it to so many people. I never leave the house without it now. She's compact, effective and has a wonderful battery life. Also love that the pads are gentle, as someone with super sensitive skin, I've had the pads in place for 24hrs with no irritation at all.

Absolutely love this product. Wish I knew about this device sooner! It is such a great way to relieve pain. I also find it really calming as well so that’s a bonus. The only downside is the plastic you need to keep your sticky pads attached to are clear. This means they can get lost easily. I haven’t been brave enough yet to wear it out in public yet.

So grateful to have found something to get me through my pain. Recently being diagnosed with Adenomyosis has given me a reason for why I have a constant lower back pain and bad cramping, but my Tap 2.0 has given me relief! I love the various modes and it is so easy to put on a carry on with my day. Cute design and so great to support an NZ company. Keep up the awesome work, you are helping so many people out here !

Everything arrived and worked as described. Unfortunately this device did not alleviate any of my lower back pain. Turns out tens machines don’t work for everyone.

We hire these to patients out of our general practice and they are very popular. Nearly 100% people purchase one from us after trying it. We sometimes pop it on patients in the waiting room if they are in pain. It is affordable, funky, discrete and most importantly, effective. We use it for period/pelvic pain and also for bladder treatment too (electrodes placed on the ankle) so it is a versatile TENS option. Could not recommend tap more highly. We love it and always have it on our shelf.

This is the best form of pain relief I have had since suffering with endometriosis, it’s been worn everyday and helping me cope with the pain. So so grateful for finding a community of women that understand and help create products that are discrete yet adorable (and affordable!!) thank you so much !!

Hi Sydney, thank your review! We have sent you an email to troubleshoot the issue with your electrode cord as they are usually very hard wearing and should last longer than a month. Talk soon 😊

This machine has been truly a lifesaver for me as someone living with adeno/endo. It really helps me on days when I need to be upright for work, on transition days, and in that awful time before pain meds kick in if I have a particularly bad bleed. It has reduced my reliance on meds dramatically. I rarely leave reviews, but I had to come here and say how much of a blessing it's been for me in alleviating my pain.

At first it felt really ticklish but I found the right setting for me and when I tell you as a endo girly, this got me through uni even on my worst days of my period. Highly recommend very very worth it

This device has been life changing. I’ve been using a different tens machine for muscular pain in my upper back upper which worked well but I was not able to use it as often as needed as it was bulky and difficult to use at work. The tap 2,0 works just as well but it’s discrete and I can leave it on all day and turn it on and off as needed which has been amazing. The battery life has been excellent.

C
Claire

It’s the best thing I’ve ever purchased. Only regret is I wish I bought it sooner

I bought this for my sister, she has always struggled with painful periods. I get the feeling she was sceptical there was anything that would actually help, but she has thanked me multiple times and is so grateful for this magical little tool. Highly recommend, especially if you're on the fence.

Purchased to use for Labor with the plan to also use it for period pain management later. Very prompt reply to my DM prior to purchase with questions about how to use. Super fast delivery and it definetly helped during my labour. Looking forward to seeing how it helps period pain management for when Aunty Flo returns.

I asked for this for my birthday a month ago as I had done research and saw that TENS could help with chronic pain, especially related to muscle pain. I was cautious when first using it but after some time of using it I could really feel the improvements. I now wish I had tried TENS earlier! I can now help relief muscle pain within a few days compared to 1-2 weeks of massages with Voltaren. This was by far the best thing I got for my birthday.

I have seen two people that I trust use Tap Health! With mild adenomyosis I was keen to use a pain management tool to avoid having to use pain killers!

I’ve been so impressed and grateful to have this device! It’s a mental relief to know that there’s something that can provide so much relief that I’ve fallen asleep using it despite being quite achy!

Thanks Tap Health team! For making something so miserable, so manageable!!! 🫶🏽
